Conference Details

NCTA Operations & Maintenance Committee is pleased to announce that the Committee will conduct its annual conference June 15-17, 2009 at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel in Jekyll Island, Georgia. The Jekyll Island Club promises an experience that is unequaled, unsurpassed, and unforgettable. The hotel is located on a barrier island off the Georgia coast, halfway between Savannah to the north and Jacksonville to the south. The original membership roles of the Jekyll Island Club included names such as Morgan, Rockefeller, Astor, Pulitzer, Macy, Goodyear, and Vanderbilt. Jekyll Island is a National Historic Landmark and the completely restored hotel has been designated as a Historic Hotel of America.

The conference will have nearly 10 hours of plenary sessions dedicated to covering the technology, design, maintenance, operations, and repair of railcars in unit train service. We will continue our longstanding tradition of hosting a private car owner roundtable discussion. The conference will feature its focused 101 segment and will conclude with the annual golf event.
